Jeff Chowdhry

Jeff is a Partner of Concept Ventures.  Having completed his MBA  at Kingston University, he began his investment career over 25 years ago and had a successful ‘first’ career in institutional asset management at BMO/F&C, where he was head of emerging equities with responsibility for assets of over $5bn. At the other end of the investment spectrum he has been an active angel investor  for over 12 years bringing his extensive knowledge and expertise of rapidly growing emerging companies to start up businesses as they embark on their own journeys.

He launched (and subsequently managed) the first ‘responsible’ ESG emerging markets fund in the world and brings deep expertise of sustainability and impact to the VC ecosystem. He is both a board advisor to several start-up companies and a Non Executive Director of a listed company.

Given Jeff's background in financial services and knowledge of several verticals in this space, such as banking, insurance, HR, asset management and property he leads Concept’s investments in this area. He also works closely with a number of Institutional investors, Family Offices and LPs.

In his spare time Jeff loves golf and is passionate about giving back to less fortunate members of our society, leading and contributing to several charitable initiatives at home and abroad. Concept’s venture pledge (where a proportion of our carry is given back to deserving causes), is close to his heart.
