Just shy of 4 years since joining Concept, Oliver joins Reece and Jeff in the Concept partnership.
Olly has come a long way since he joined Concept in 2019 as the firms first employee. As a newcomer to the world of venture capital, he didn't have a business degree or banking background - instead possessed a strong work ethic, an inquisitive mind, and a commitment to excellence. And as he immersed himself in the intricacies of the industry, Olly's contributions to the firm quickly became evident.
It is with great pride and joy that we announce Oliver’s well deserved promotion from Principal to Partner.
Olly's promotion to Partner is a recognition of his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to our firm's success. Standing as a true leader, guiding and inspiring the broader team and portfolio and serving as a testament that anyone possessing a non-traditional background, with the right attitude and hunger for growth, can ascend to the top of the firm.
He stood alongside Jeff and Reece from Concept’s humble beginnings back in 2019, operating out of a windowless basement office and has since played a crucial role in laying the foundations upon which the firm stands today.
His keen eye for promising deals and his innate ability to build strong relationships has led him to spearhead numerous successful investments, initiatives and functions - each of which has contributed to our firm's continued growth.
Furthermore, Olly has taken true ownership of various aspects of Concept; from owning our marketing & branding initiatives to leading major deals - his dedication and expertise have been invaluable in enhancing our presence externally and within our portfolio and network. His aptitude for managing people and fostering a collaborative environment have had a profound impact on our team dynamics, making him an exemplar of what a Partner at Concept Ventures should embody.
